GEO!!! LOOK WHAT I MADE!
First of all, if you guys have not watched BBC’s Sherlock, GO WATCH IT. It’s so clever and cool and great and it’s one of my favorite shows.
Second of all, if you are unfamiliar with geothebio then you need to go check out the fantastic art and comics and such that she makes. They are highly entertaining and worth a look!
Anywaaaaay, these are depictions of her Sherlock and John comic characters. I made the wallpaper design, Sherlock, and John by making nail decals using a technique similar to this one from Nail Nerd. They were trickier to work with than I expected, but at least I got it to work in the end! What do you guys think?
Colors Used: Maybelline Audacious Asphalt, Sinful Colors Rain Storm, Sinful Colors Black on Black, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, OPI My Very First Knockwurst, Sinful Colors Nirvana, Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby, Icing Posh Princess
I don’t think I will EVER be over how FABULOUS the Color Club Halo Hues are. Like, seriously, they are amazeballs! Another product that is amazeballs are these nail stickers available on eBay. THEY. ARE. FANTASTIC. They are so much better than using plain old Scotch tape and they come in a great variety of shapes. I highly recommend them!
Colors Used: Color Club Kismet, China Glaze For Audrey
My favorite weekend of the year has come and gone… the 148th Scottish Highland Gathering and Games! I look forward to going to Pleasanton for this event all year, because it really is an experience like NO OTHER! I feel so at home among all the various tartans walking around while the sounds of bagpipes fill the air. I’m very proud of my Scottish heritage, as minute as it may be. So for this manicure, I chose to embody a few of the lovely traditions of Scotland: the majestic thistle, St. Andrew’s cross, and, of course, my Smith family tartan! Are you proud of your heritage? Let me know!

Ah, the ever-classic sunset gradient! I’ve never done this color combination before and I gotta say, I REALLY like it! Plus the extra little details like the birds and the palm tree just bring the scene to life. So relaxing and so simple!

For those of you who don’t know, my 21st birthday was on the 25th of August! WOOT WOOT! On the Wednesday before my birthday, my family and I went to dinner at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico, CA. BOY WAS THAT A BLAST! I got all dressed up, did my nails to match my new dress, and even tried some bold and colorful eye makeup. I had so much fun! (By the way, the gentlemen in the middle picture are my two younger brothers, Amos and Remmy).
Then on the day of my birthday, since I had moved back to school at that point, I had some fun celebration times with my good friends from school. However, we did have classes starting the next day, so shenanigans didn’t get too crazy!
I definitely look forward to this new chapter of my life!

I’m not really sure what possessed me to put wings like this on my nails… but for some reason I did so oh well! I referenced a few pics of birds of prey wings for color and shape. I liked the way they turned out!

I just finished doing a Sherlock manicure based on geothebio's Sherlock doodles! Pics will be up this weekend, I promise ;-)
Hey there… buddies
So… I realize I’ve been really awful at updating all summer and lately. I’ve been trying to get into the swing of school and such and I’ve been really swamped. This weekend, though, I plan to update a TON! So please, stay patient and stay tuned, lovelies!
August 8th (wow I’m so behind) was the birthday of Terry Nation, creator of the Daleks from Doctor Who. In celebration, there was a bit of an “Extermageddon” on Tumblr, although I haven’t been online much lately. This was my attempt at some simple but cool nail art, and I was super happy with the result! I didn’t want to take them off!!! And yes, I managed to fit all ELEVEN letters of “EXTERMINATE” across my thumb, so you should be impressed. Happy belated birthday, Terry.
